Blue Sparkle Cup takes the form of a cup-shaped piece of pressed glass cut from a redundant platter, polished and suspended from a well used wooden spoon, evoking shared conversation. The work investigates domesticity, manners and display, and illuminates the fine craftspersonship of (mostly anonymous) women from my community.
