Sand-carved and enamelled clear glass, embroidery hoop

Never Done 3 is part of a series comprising a collection of embroidery hoops, each suspended from a clear thread. The hoops contain details from Welsh quilts and textiles sand-etched onto glass so as to throw the pattern onto the wall as a shadow, projection or reflection. The work is both there and not there, a series of voices hanging in space, honouring the work of anonymous needlewomen and is a celebration of art in the domestic sphere.
