The colours in this painting are drawn from Campion which grows wild on Skokholm Island where I was Artist in Residence over a 6 month period in 2015. During the course of the residency I was examining observation as the root of scientific and artistic enquiry using scientific methodologies to collect and analyse colour in the landscape.
